DETAILS

American in origin, the longwing brogues are a variation on the full brogue style inherited from the European shoe making tradition, and look their best when incorporated into leisurewear. Made of casual looking and resistant pull up leather, which was sanded and well greased to allow it to later acquire a unique beautiful vintage patina when the shoes are worn, these brogues were hand-sewn with the finest craftsmanship and feature leather lining and a personalised “Polaris” sole. This special foam rubber sole is infused with brand history as its model was drawn from the Sebago archives: the “Polaris” sole is soft, light, flexible, water-resistant, and combines traction with stability. The “Canton” shoes are a homage to Canton in Massachussets (USA), a city crossed by the Canton River at the feet of Great Blue Hill, home to America’s first copper rolling mill in 1801 and of its first Stove Polish Company, the Rising Sun.
